Holy Communion is celebrated at each service of worship.

Individual Communion will be brought to the home upon request.

Educational Period for all ages of children and adults is from 9:00 – 10:00 AM each Sunday morning, September through May.

Nursery Supervision for children through their sixth birthday is provided during each service of worship at 10:30 AM on Sundays.

Baptisms are arranged through the Pastor with time allowed for one pre-baptism counseling session.  Baptisms may take place at any of the three services of worship.  Sponsors (Godparents) for children may be named.  They should be baptized members of a Christian church.

First Communion for children occurs at an age determined in consultation with the pastor, parents and child.  Instruction in preparation for First Communion
(3 sessions) normally takes place during the weeks after Easter.  Special arrangements may be made with the Pastor.

Instruction in preparation for Affirmation of Baptism (Confirmation) is for two years and normally begins with youth entering grade 7.  Classes meet September through May.  Special arrangements are made with the Pastor as necessary.

Weddings should be arranged with the Pastor at least two months in advance.  A minimum of four pre-marriage counseling sessions is required under normal circumstances.

Funeral arrangements should be made in consultation with the Pastor.  The service may take place at the church or in the funeral home.

New Members are received at St. Stephen periodically.  Please make your desire known to the Pastor.  Lutherans are received by Letter of Transfer from their previous congregation.  Non-Lutherans are received by baptism or Affirmation of Faith.  All new members are invited to attend an orientation session prior to their reception.

Private Counseling for any need may be arranged with the Pastor by request.
